Choose Star Lantern Only, or select Fairy Lights or a USB LED Lighting Kit from the options.
Use with: Warm white fairy lights or our USB LED Lighting Kit. Suitable for indoor and dry outdoor use.
To open your star, hold it flat, place one hand inside one of the outer points and gently ease the point outwards.
Repeat with the remaining points, making sure each one is fully open before moving to the next.
Using the two cords provided, gently bring the two outer points together. If you are illuminating the star, place it over your light source and tie the cords firmly to secure it. Do not pull the cords to open your star.

All our stars fold flat and come with strong cotton ties for easy hanging. Lights are sold separately.
Recommended for use with LED bulbs up to 7 watts. Ensure bulb doesn’t touch any part of the Starlight. Do not exceed 40 watts.
Do not use near naked flame. Make sure all electrical fittings are safe before use.
Can be used with battery operated LED “string” or ‘fairy’ lights, providing they conform to the appropriate safety standards, and no part of the unit produces heat.

How do I use my star?
Use your star as a lampshade over an existing pendant light fitting, or as a lantern with battery-operated LED fairy lights inside.
For an easy plug-in option, pair it with our USB LED Lighting Kit, sold separately. If you already have a suitable low-heat LED light source, you can use that instead.
Our stars also look beautiful unlit as 3D decorations.
Use indoors or in dry, sheltered outdoor settings.
What lamp should I use inside?
Use an LED lamp up to 7 watts and make sure the bulb does not touch the paper. A 2 to 5 watt LED works well for most stars. Higher output gives a brighter glow, while a lower output or battery-operated LED fairy lights creates a softer ambience.
The effect will vary depending on the colour of the star and the light source you choose.
Paper Starlights conform to BS EN IEC 60598-1:2021.
How do they work?
They come flat. You simply open them up one point at a time and tie the two cords together to form a perfect star.
Instructions are provided with each lantern and you can watch a video which shows you how to open and hang it.
