There are places that seem to glow from within. Places where art, community, and conscience come together. Snape Maltings is one of those places.

Nestled on the banks of the River Alde in rural Suffolk, Snape Maltings is more than a beautiful collection of heritage buildings. It’s a destination where creativity thrives. Home to independent shops, galleries, restaurants, and the world famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Once an industrial maltings complex, today it’s a place reborn through art, music, and craftsmanship, curated by the visionary team at Britten Pears Arts.

When we visited, we were welcomed into a space alive with light and warmth. The Home and Garden Shop was full of character and care; every piece chosen for its story, its maker, and its meaning. To see our Paper Starlights among them was a joy and an honour.

Each of our stars is handmade by skilled artisans in India using paper and traditional techniques passed down through generations. Every cut and fold reflects both heritage and tradition.

Our visit sparked a beautiful realisation: when someone chooses a Paper Starlight at Snape Maltings, they’re supporting creativity in two places at once. Their purchase helps fund Britten Pears Arts; sustaining artists, musicians, and creative learning programmes here in the UK; while also supporting the livelihoods of our artisan partners in India.It’s a story of circular creativity: art sustaining art, light inspiring light.
