Spreading Love and Positivity during Lockdown

Love and Light in Lockdown

We are proud to announce that Paper Starlights, shortlisted for the prestigious 2020 Good Retail Awards Community Award, is a leading expert in crafting extraordinary displays using natural and sustainable materials. Drawing inspiration from our background in UK Festivals, Events, Community Arts, and Christmas Markets, our true passion lies in putting on an unforgettable show for you!Love and Light in LockdownDecor and displays have a truly magical and creative power to bring people together, fostering a mutual appreciation of sensory experiences. A well-crafted display not only evokes emotions but also helps build a sense of community, establishing a strong connection with the location and fostering a shared ownership of the space. It creates a meaningful dialogue with you, the end user.

As a company, we've always been committed to fair trade and sustainability, and our core values are the bedrock of our identity. We are driven by our purpose, the "why" behind everything we do. Understanding our supply chain and customers is crucial to us as a tight-knit community. We're linked with material suppliers, designers, makers, distributors, clients, and customers – forming an interconnected network that spans from production sources to the final user.

By viewing supply chains as interconnected communities, we unlock the potential to drive positive change within current business models. This notion is especially relevant for sustainability initiatives. So, how can we, as a united community, strive for improvement, mutual support, and increased sustainability? We're not only talking about environmental efforts, but also about reimagining how trade can be a win-win situation for everyone involved.

Spread Love and Positivity During Lockdown

Amid the challenging times of the 2020 Covid lockdown, we leveraged our expertise and resources to craft heartwarming displays in care homes for the elderly and Ashgate Hospice in Derbyshire, as a tribute to the invaluable work carried out by these essential organizations. Our primary display unit also played a key role in showcasing community-focused exhibits at Morrisons Supermarkets, in recognition of their unwavering support for our frontline heroes.

"They look absolutely amazing thank you so much..they are beautiful! Fab greeting at the start of shift" -  Healthcare Assistant, Ashgate Hospice.

Love and Light in Lockdown

Share the Light

Amidst the ongoing lockdown well into 2021, we steadfastly carried on with our 'Share the Light' Campaign. This extraordinary initiative witnessed countless homes and businesses throughout Chesterfield, Matlock, and Derbyshire – and stretching even further to Yorkshire, Oxford, and Somerset - adorning their windows with stars, a resolute symbol of unity and resilience. We proudly displayed the stars, representing our spirit of not being knocked down by the lockdown but rather celebrating the indispensable contributions of independent businesses within our local communities.
